Nat Moore

Nat Moore became interested in martial arts at the young age of 13 years old. His years of study, commitment and exceptional skills are documented by numerous championship awards spanning Nat’s 16 plus years of competitions. Also, the “Eternal Flame Public Service Award” is a notable public service award which was presented to Nat in 2005.  As a result of Nat’s remarkable accomplishments, he is well respected in the martial arts community.

 

Nat has trained under some of the most renowned Martial Arts Masters in the world such as, Master Takayuki Mikami, President and Chief instructor of Japan Karate Association; Master Hidetaka Nishiyama, President of the All-American Karate Federation; Master Shiyogo Kuniba, President of the Motobu Ha Shito-Ryu Seishin Kai Karate-Do and the great Master Hugh McDonald, Kung Fu, Juai Kun Kar Bo and weapons expert.

In 1963, Nat began studying under James Lucky, Hugh Kelly and Master Mikami.  Three years later, he earned his first-degree black belt in Shotokan and Shito-Ryu Karate. In the early seventies, Nat teamed with Jim Kelly (“Black Belt Jones” and “Enter The Dragon” with Bruce Lee) and Master Hugh McDonald. These distinguished Masters conducted consummate demonstrations worthy of Martial Arts Masters at several venues and were well received in Jamaica.

 

Nat skillfully earned an induction to the Masters Hall of Fame in Orange County, California in 2000. A former All-South Dixie Land Black Belt Champion, Nat competed in tournaments from the Gulf Coast to the West Coast, winning matches and the respect of his peers. To add to his credits, Nat is a Master of Shotokan Karate and has studied several other styles of Martial Arts including Kyokushinka -Kan Karate, Goju-Ryu, Okinawa-Te, Tae Kwon Do and Chinese Kempo. Nat also created his own style of martial arts called Hoeru-Tora (Screaming Tiger).

As a result of Nat’s professional reputation and expertise, Nat is in demand as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Black Belt Instructor both in California and Arizona. Nat has trained thousands in fitness and martial arts, including law enforcement personnel, professional sports personalities and celebrities such as Cincinnati Reds notable George Foster and television director, actor and martial artist, Eric Laneuville. Nat has trained other notable students in physical fitness and martial arts such as, Los Angeles Law Enforcement personnel, US Military personnel and firefighters, judges and attorneys at LA Superior/Edelman Children’s Court in Monterey Park, CA.

Nat was also Chief Martial Arts Instructor for LAPD’s Southeast Area Jeopardy Program at the Bradley/Milken Recreation Center. In addition, Nat has owned a martial arts school in Mobile, Alabama and Los Angeles, California.

In 1985, Nat founded the LAPD Southwest Area, “Youth Services Karate Program”.  As a martial arts instructor, Nat directed the program for five years.  Later, Nat worked as a civilian advisor for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Explorer Program in South Central Los Angeles, where he also assisted with the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp.

Also in 1985, Nat created and became best known for the highly effective and successful Katacize® Fitness System which not only tones the body and increases overall strength and stamina, it creates a sense of wellbeing as the participants gain martial arts skills while improving overall physical condition.

Today, Nat continues to demonstrate excellence in skill and knowledge as a fitness instructor as well as a Marital Arts Master. He endeavors to expand his knowledge. He is a member and certified in the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and a member IDEA Health and Fitness Association.   He is also a certified instructor for Turbo Kick™ Turbo Flex, Body PumP™, GRAVITY Group, TRX Group and TRX Rip, CPR. He is the 2020 USA Martial Arts ,"Hall OF FAME" ,Leading Martial Arts Fitness Master of The Year. He is the 2020 USA Martial Arts ,"Hall OF FAME" ,Leading Martial Arts  Master of The Year. Nat continues to be in demand to train US military personnel and medical staff. In addition, Nat created and conducts a Katacize® and Martial arts summer camp and after school training program for the Dysart Unified School District in Arizona.  

 

Nat currently created and leads his most accomplished students to form the “Katacize® Team”. The Katacize® Team members as well as Nat himself are indicative of the successful results of the “Katacize® Fitness System”.
